Restoring furniture in Devon for over 35 years

Xavier Haines has been restoring period furniture in Devon since 1989, resulting in a piece that looks as if it has not been worked on. He can restore all types of furniture – antique, modern, vintage, Ercol, G Plan, 1950s teak – as well as carrying out veneer repairs, French polishing, cleaning and waxing, wood turning and alterations. Modern finishes are available if requested and all furniture is covered by insurance while in Xavier’s care.

In the early years, Xavier restored furniture for many of the antique dealers in the famous market town of Honiton. Xavier now works only for the customer base that he has built up over the years, as well as for insurance company Richard Fire and Flood - interesting and challenging work, restoring furniture that has been damaged by fire or flood but can still be saved.
